It can be hard, trying to plan healthy meals and snacks. But there are
several things that you can do to ease the torture. A go-to grocery list can
help for starters.
I am not a strict dieter. I snack. I sometimes eat larger portions than I
should. But there is one thing that I do that I believe helps with weight maintenance
and with leading a healthy and fit lifestyle. I do it all in moderation.
For instance, if I know that I’m going to a party or event in the evening,
I’ll try to have a healthy breakfast and have healthy snacks throughout the
day. If I know that I’m going out of town, I’ll pick up healthy snacks for the
road trip and that I can have on hand so that I don’t have to depend on someone
else. It’s the planning that sets the stage for success.
There are plenty of times that I enjoy a snack that’s not so healthy. Life
is short. So, I try to keep things in perspective and enjoy guilty pleasures
now and then.
